…for they refreshed my spirit as well as yours. So give recognition to such persons.
Have you heard the good news?
Last week, our very own Crystal Roberts received the keys to her new home with the support of Habitat for Humanity. It was a glorious event!
Stories like this one are frankly too good to ignore. As her church family, we are so proud of all that she has accomplished in the last two years. Just imagine what this transformation will mean for both Crystal and her son, AJ, in the future.
Best of all, Crystal proved ready to offer a powerful word of encouragement to any who might be in need of inspiration. But someone will ask, ‘how are the dead raised?’ (1 Cor. 15:35). My friend, Crystal, can tell you!

But wait, there’s more!

We look forward to honoring this group during our open reception at 10:00 and during our worship services. I’ll be preaching on Paul’s trip to Athens in a message entitled “Notes From the Campus Tour.” No, not that Athens. You all know that I try not to mention Georgia Bulldogs in church. This episode from Acts 17 is set in Athens, Greece–what some might recognize as the original ‘college town.’
This Sunday, we will also be proud to introduce Rev. Julie Hare as our new Minister of Community Care at APUMC. Yet another reason to celebrate!
Have you heard the good news? It’s going to be a great day at Ashland Place.
The love of the Lord is relentless! It is alive and well in the hearts of God’s people. Spirit of the living God, fall afresh on us!
In Praise and Recognition,
Darren
