About Our Music Ministry

Music is a vital part of worship and community at Ashland Place UMC. Our Music Ministries exist to glorify God, inspire worship, and bring people together through the power of song. Whether through choir, instrumental ensembles, contemporary worship teams, or special musical events, we strive to create meaningful experiences that draw people closer to God.

From traditional hymns to modern praise music, we welcome all voices and skill levels to participate. Our ministry is open to anyone who has a passion for worship through music, whether you sing, play an instrument, or support behind the scenes.

Join us as we lift our voices and hearts in praise, using music to serve, encourage, and build faith within our church and community.

Get Involved

If you love singing or playing an instrument, we invite you to join our music ministry. No experience necessary—just a heart for worship!

• Adult Choir sings every week during the Traditional Service. Practice is held on Wednesday evenings, from 6:00pm - 7:00pm
• Children's Choir practice during the Children's Chapel time or during Sunday School depending on their next performance in worship.
• Handbell Ringers practice on Wednesday evenings from 5:00pm - 6:00pm. They play quarterly in the Traditional Service. 
• Contemporary Praise Band leads worship for the 9:00am Ascension Service each week. They practice before the service from 8:00am - 8:50am.
